# Plant Selection

### Choice of Crops

Grains, such as wheat, rice, corn, soybean, and potato, are the world's most popular food crops. In fact, these crops are often the basis for food staples. A food staple is a food that makes up the dominant part of a population's diet.

In order to alleviate the famine caused by the food crisis, JZL Garden choose some high yield, adequate nutrition, high efficiency, and multiple usages originating torrents from different regions.

### Choice of Greeneries

According to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), tree species that grow quickly and live long are ideal carbon sinks.

In order to alleviate the climate change caused by global warming, JZL Garden choose some torrents with rapid growth, long life spans, high efficiency, plenty of leaves, strong carbon sink capacity, and high adaptability in a variety of climatic zones, landforms, and countries.
